During this 90-minute workshop, learn how pregnancy can impact your emotional well-being and how to care for yourself.

* How to recognize signs and symptoms of common maternal mental health concerns, like anxiety and depression.

* Helpful psychological resources to help you navigate pregnancy and new motherhood.

The Afterglow - 2020
(Recommended for mothers, support person(s) and babies 0-6 months)



In this six-week postpartum support group, new moms with their babies will gather to share their experiences and support one another in their new days of parenting. During this group participants will learn about the “Baby Blues” and the emotional changes that can occur after childbirth. They will practice self-care, relaxation techniques, including yoga, which is clinically proven to reduce stress and increase mom’s well being. They will also discuss the highs and lows of motherhood in a supportive space and connect with other new parents. This 6-week series is facilitated by Melissa Whippo, LCSW & Juli Fraga, Psy.D

Pumping and Returning to Work - 2020
PUMPING & RETURNING TO WORK: This postpartum class teaches practical tips and advice on transitioning to the world of working, whilepumping and continuing to breastfeed your baby. Topics include: preserving a breastfeeding relationship,maintaining your milk supply, pumping schedules, collecting/storing/ transporting breastmilk, bottlefeeding, problem solving, creating a supportive work environment for the breastfeeding mom, and more.Individualized suggestions are provided for each participant. Parenting During the First Few Months - 2020
This workshop offers basic techniques to care for your newborn and emphasizes postpartum care for mom. Learn about newborn characteristics, infant milestones, bathing, hygiene, diapers, diapering, crying, comforting, sleep and recognizing the signs of illness. Great for first time parents. This class is offered in a two-part series or all day on Saturday or Sunday.

Infant Massage - Prenatal (P/N) 0-6 weeks - 2020
Class recommended after 20 weeks of pregnancy. For babies 0 - 6 weeks old

This class is taught without babies

Infant Massage has been researched extensively at the Touch Institute at the University of Miami. The main outcome of this research has shown that infant massage helps promote the development and over all physical and emotional health of your baby, as well as enhances the bonding and attachment with caregivers.

This class allows you to be ready to give Infant massage to your New-born.

You will learn a full body massage, abbreviated, to meet the needs of your baby 0-6 weeks.

Teaching will be provided with the use of:

Watching a DVD for visual reference

Demonstrations of techniques by the teacher

Hands on practice with dolls

Infant Massage - Postpartum - 2020
Limited to 7 babies in classroom. For babies 3wks - 10 months.

This class is a great opportunity to practice Infant Massage with your baby, while socializing and learning from other babies and parents in the group.

This class will teach advanced techniques that will build on the New-born techniques demonstrated in Infant Massage - Prenatal.

Please note: If this is your first infant massage class and your baby is 0-6 weeks, bring a hooded towel, baby blanket and pillow to class.

Infant CPR - 2020
Class can be taken before or after the birth of a baby.

Learn vital skills to handle an emergency. This one session covers recognizing an infant or child in distress, performing emergency measures to relieve airway obstruction in a choking infant or child, performing CPR on an infant or child who is not breathing or is without a heartbeat and identifying risk of preventable infant and childhood injuries. This is a great class for parents, family members and childcare providers.

One session class, $110 per couple.

This three hour workshop is designed to give expectant parents pertinent information on raising twins or more including reassuring advice and practical consideration. Topics include import aspects of prenatal care, labor and delivery, feeding issues, and preparing home and family for the arrival of multiples.

Childbirth Preparation: Integrated Methods - 2020

This class provides an overview of the stages and process of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, support, medication options, variations in labor include cesarean birth and immediate postpartum care for the mother and baby.

Classes are a 4 week series from 6:00- 8:30PM.

Childbirth Preparation: Birth Alternatives - 2020
This class addresses the needs and interests of women who wish to have an intimate, fully-involved birth experience. This class covers the basic childbirth preparation content with an added emphasis on natural delivery and making choices in response to the birth process. Labor support techniques and comfort measures from home birth and other cultures are emphasized.

Classes are a 4-week series from 6:00-8:30PM, or a condensed 3-week series from 6:00-9:00PM.

Breastfeeding Twins or More - 2020

This one session class is designed to prepare expectant mothers on how to confidently breastfeed multiples. Learn practical tips and special considerations for nursing twins or more including latch-on, positioning, establishing a plentiful milk supply, and overcoming breastfeeding challenges.
